Class 1, Week 2.....
Our assignment this week was to go out and just sketch people, then to pick one of those sketches and pose Stu in that pose. I am showing a whole series of images of the different attempts I made at capturing the pose, was very challenging getting the rig to cooperate in the way I needed it to for the pose.

Class 1 is finally upon us.....
Really slacked off of here during the break from Springboard and now I have already started Class 1. Mentor is Chad Stewart, really awesome guy, been both a 2D and 3D animator for like 19 years now with a rather impressive resume. First week was just to introduce ourselves and get used to the site. Just now starting second week and need to get out and sketch some poses to then pose our Rig Stu with.

Springboard has come to an end......
It is with both Excitement for moving on, and sadness for a great class ending that I post this. This was truly a great experience for I had a wonderful teacher who went above and beyond every single time, doing tutorials and such on his own time for us and also going well over the 1 hour class in most cases by at least another hour. My classmates were an incredible group of people that helped me learn and make it a great learning experience and loads of fun at the same time. Now I do feel much better prepared for what lies ahead having somewhat familiarized myself both with Maya and with how AM works.
One small step for one leg, One giant step for a newbie animator......Session 11 Week 10
Our assignment this time was to use the One Leg rig provided to us and to have him make a single step.
Clean Up on Aisle 10.......Session 10 Week 9
Our assignment for this session was to clean up the animation and do all the inbetweens to complete the blocking we started in the previous section. In addition to the original animation I also made a variation. Of course I should also mention again that the last assignment did not involve the arm actually picking up the can and moving it simply to go through the motions, and this assignment was to actually do the constraint to have the arm pick up and move the can, but I did that in the previous assignment :)

And then there was a Robotic Arm.......Session 9 Week 8
Our assignment this session was to Block out the Animation for a Robotic Arm picking up a cylinder and placing it on a platform.
And now Ladies and Gentlemen....The Ball Bounce......Session 8 Week 8
Our assignment for this session was to animate a Bouncing Ball, nothing fancy just a basic bounce. Then we were to duplicate that one and double the height of the bounces so as to have two bouncing balls. I of course had to be difficult and incorporate squash and stretch as well as rotation and give my ball a face.....

More animation fun.....Session 7 Week 7
This session our assignment was to use a ball provided by AM to animate it moving in a circle, I also decided to modify it and make it travel in a spiral pattern. Our trainer also had us continue to work on our ball bounce.
First Crack at Animation....Session 6 Week 7
For this session our assignment was to create a sphere and move it around randomly in space, simply to get the hang of animating and key frame work. In addition to the regular assignment our trainer asked that we also animate a ball bounce.

First Crack at Lighting....Lighting Assignment Session 5 Week 6
This sessions assignment was to add lighting to our scene, I may have got carried away experimenting with different things as you can see by the excessive amount of renders. But I am having a LOT of fun with it so I don't really care hehe.
